Body Solid Rubber Weights
September 18, 2014
These weights are designed great, easy to handle and won't scratch floors. The only issue I have after one month is the rubber like smell. I have put outside for days, washed in different soaps and have the windows open inside now. These weights still smell. I imagine the smell will subside I just don't know how long.
Pros
  • easy to handle
Cons
  • odor

Been using these plates for a week now and I love them. I highly recommend purchasing these or the higher sets.
Pros
  • -Reduced noise while working out
  • -Extremely easy to pick up/put down with grip
  • -Urethane encased so they will never get rusty
  • -Slide perfectly on olympic bar
  • -Look great
Cons
  • -Emits rubber smell
  • I read reviews about them smelling bad (off other sites) so I left them outside just for a couple days and they didn't make my indoor homegym smell bad at all. Some say it may take a week or two for the smell to go away, but that wasn't the case for me.
