Also included is a safety feature allowing the concerned parent or weight lifter a little piece of mind knowing that in case of an emergency there is always a safety mechanism in place. The main upright beams are 2” x 2.5” tubing mounted on 2” x 2” base. The entire rack is seated on 4 rubber face plates that add stability as well as protect your floor from damage.
Located on the back are 4 Olympic Storage pegs. Each peg can hold up to 5 Olympic size plates. Holding the two uprights together are two cross beams mounted directly across from the Olympic Plate Storage Pegs.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

I ordered this rack on a Wednesday, and received it a little over a week later. Not bad since it was being shipped from CA. to IN. Took me a couple of hours taking my time to assemble it, but could have used a second pair of hands that I didn't have. This appears to be made really well. You would have to really beat on this to damage it. Even then I'm not sure it would hurt it. I've only worked out on it once since receiving it a few days ago, but it looks like this will last me forever. I was looking for a rack that offered the ability to do squats and bench presses with the safety of having notches to catch the bar since I will be working out alone most of the time without a spotter. Plus, this is a lot less than a smith machine, but pretty much offers the same safety. The welds and design seem to be really strong, and the hardware on this rack are heavy duty bolts and locking nuts. I would recommend doing as the directions say, and do not fully tighten the bolts until you have the last support bolted on, then tighten everything real well. This is a great design!
Pros:Great design, and well made!
Cons:Directions for assembling it probably could have been better at identifying the size of bolts since there are three sizes, but it is manageable.
