VTX 5-50lb Hex Dumbbells W/Deluxe 2 Tier Rack

They’re dumbbells and will function as needed but for the cost I hoped for something with a little more quality from both the dumbbells and the rack. The packaging for the rack was damaged, the rack itself works and was intact but had some battle scars before it even got to me. The dumbbells are clearly from a factory with no quality control. On 5 pairs the knurled grips were painted over heavily resulting in smooth grips (including the 50lb pair) necessitating a wire brush attachment on a drill to get back down to the gripping surface. On two pairs the dumbbell heads are so crooked in relation to the handles that it’s hard to get them to sit on the rack properly. Nearly every dumbbell has a lot of pitting and surface defects that for the price should’ve been ground down and smoothed prior to painting.

I’m trying to work with the manufacturer thru Fitness Giant to possible get some kind of discount back on the set due to these issues but as of this writing the manufacturer hasn’t answered them yet. I’ll probably go thru the Better Business Bureau if the manufacturer doesn’t come thru because while functional the pricing doesn’t match the quality at all.
