This bar is exactly what I needed to advance my workout regime. And the free shipping was great! Arrived in great condition and ready for use. Very well packaged for shipping.
Pros
  • lightweight bar, easily configurable for various exercises, rubber coated weights will not scar floor or walls
Cons
  • Will max out at 65 lbs, but this should be fine for most group exercise uses.

I have had this for many years. It is great with my Cathe workouts. As for clips being stiff, you get used to sliding them on and off. In the Cathe workouts the pace is fast and you have to change weight quickly. I wish they could hold more weight though.
Pros
  • Great for everything! Barbell curls, extensions, squats, deadlifts, and rows.
Cons
  • None.
Great for the price

I purchased it for my daughter who's a personal trainer. She likes it a lot just the right balance of weights for the ladies in her class.
Pros
  • I will definitely purchase from this company again. They shipped on time and free shipping too. Great quality product as well according to my daughter.
Cons
  • None for me

These weights are well made so the quality is there, but, I think supplier/retailer could drop their profit margin slightly because this set is a little expensive for what you are actually getting.

This barbell system is just like what they use in the Group Power workout class. Nice one-piece bar with subtle texturing. The spring clips are a little stiff and hard to slide on and off, but I'm guessing that they may loosen up just a bit with use.

I use this lightweight barbell system for a women's Powerflex class ... the bar is lightweight and hollow, I can lift it with one hand. The weights are some sort of plastic vinyl covered weights and perfect for our Powerflex group class. We load two 2 1/2 pounders and two 5 pounders for our approx 5 min warmup routine. For squats, I usually use two 10 pounders, but I've seen other girls load up 17 1/2 pounds on each end of the bar. I love this set, and I'm thinking it would make a great Christmas present to go with my Cathe' STS home workout system. I don't STEP with these, as I hurt my knee with my husband's heavier bars, but I intend to try stepping with this set, either at the gym or if I do get one of these as a gift ...
Pros
  • Love the lightweight hollow bar for my Powerflex class, it weighs nearly nothing. Just add the weights to each end and you're ready to keep up with the class, which goes at a fast pace.
Cons
  • I wish the weights came in pretty colors!!!
